Job Summary:
The primary focus of the Home Health Certified Nurse Aide is to perform patient care activities such as providing ADL nursing care, documents treatments and other tasks as assigned to assist the primary care, therapy, and health staff in day center and participant homes, as needed. Works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Center Manager or designee but is independent in the application of nursing knowledge and skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must display patience, tact, a positive disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to work with a variety of participants with varying cognitive levels.
- Must possess the skills necessary to provide care for geriatric patients and must be able to function well in a team environment.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and interdepartmental relationships.
- Must have the ability to problem solve and interpret instructions.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year working with the frail, elderly or long-term care population
- Certified Nurse Aide Certification in the State of Michigan.
- CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must possess a current State of Michigan driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record
- All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, verification of professional licensure, if applicable, and TB Screen at time of hire. In addition, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption is required.
