We're on the lookout for caring and compassionate team members to join Angelic Hospice. For people facing a serious or life-limiting illness or injury, hospice care involves a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the patient’s needs and wishes. Support is provided to the patient’s loved ones as well.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide care to our patients in the
Cape May County area.
What you'll be doing as a Certified Home Health Aide:
  • Provide personal care and light housekeeping services to terminally ill patients in the home, nursing facility, inpatient units, or other environments where the Hospice patient resides in accordance with an established plan of care and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
  • Provide care and comfort to patients in accordance with assigned tasks and established IDT and Hospice Aide plan of care.
  • Observe the patient, report and document observations and care performed.
  • Provide timely documentation of services based on the patient’s care plan.
What we're looking for:
  • A passion to serve and help others.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Must be minimum 18 years old.
  • A valid Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Possess satisfactory references and pass criminal background, national sex offender, drug and motor vehicle checks.
  • Previous experience as a CHHA in homes or institutional setting with community health/hospice experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting. Also required is driving, writing, speaking, relating to others, listening and finger dexterity, and the ability to lift and carry.
