Cellarperson/Assistant Brewer Job at Laneside Pub & Brewery

We are seeking a Cellarperson to join our team at Laneside Pub & Brewery. As a Cellarperson, you will be responsible for all aspects of fermentation, cellaring, and packaging of our beer. You will work closely with our Head Brewer and other team members to maintain high quality standards and ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of fermentation and cellaring, including yeast handling, gravity readings, dry-hopping.
  • Clean in place (CIP) of fermentation tanks and serving/brite tanks.
  • Assist in all aspects of canning and kegging including keg cleaning.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the brewery, including cellar and packaging areas according to periodic cleaning schedules.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Keep accurate records of all cellaring and packaging activities.
  • Participate in sensory evaluations and quality control testing.
  • Assist on brewdays and other tasks as needed.
  • Beertending shifts available if desired.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of professional brewing experience as a cellarperson or home brewing experience.
  • Knowledge of fermentation, cellaring, and packaging processes, equipment, and terminology.
  • Ability to lift heavy bags up to 55 lbs and move kegs weighing 160 lbs.
  • Ability to use with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
  • Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for craft beer and a desire to learn and grow in the industry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
