New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a family owned and operated distributor of building supplies based in White Plains, New York, serving the Northeastern United States with twenty plus convenient locations in six states. With a history dating back to 1910, New Castle has evolved from a small sheet metal distributor, to a full service distributor of building materials specializing in commercial and residential roofing.

Our location based in Middletown is seeking a full time CDL rated driver. In this role, your responsibilities will be to transport material to the client's location safely, loading/unloading material from the warehouse to and from your truck when needed, and unloading material when you arrive at the customer's site. We prefer experienced candidates who are professional, courteous and always drive safely. However, we are willing to train the right candidate


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class B commercial driver’s license required
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts
  • Moffit experience
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • 6+ months of commercial driving experience a plus
  • Construction material delivery experience preferred
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Job experience and Requirements

  • Warehouse and truck mounted forklift experience
  • Class B experience
  • Loading and unloading trucks of building materials including the checking in of material
  • Fulfilling customer orders from stock based on work orders
  • Load building materials onto pallets and shelves for either delivery or for receipt into the warehouse
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner with proper safety equipment
  • Frequent standing, walking, crouching
  • Frequent lifting and moving of material up to 80 pounds
  • Adhering to all DOT and company safety protocols
  • Performing daily vehicle inspections and maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles
  • Completing all necessary paperwork, logbooks, IVMR sheets, pick tickets, etc.
  • Notifying Manager or Branch Manager of potentially dangerous job sites
  • Reporting all vehicle maintenance necessities to the Manager
  • Monitoring and ensuring vehicles are loaded properly and accurately
  • Assist and/or oversee the loading and/or unloading of products
  • Providing clear work direction for other associates providing assistance
  • Collecting and submitting all C.O.D. payments when applicable
  • Processing customer and/or product returns

Wage Range: $25 - $30/hour plus additional benefits. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
