Position Overview

We are actively searching for a full-time Class B CDL Driver for our Salt Lake City, UT location. This position will safely and efficiently deliver finished goods, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner. The candidate must show a professional image through in-person interaction to customers as well as vendors and associates. In addition, this position will also support the warehouse to unload/load trucks, shop maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operates a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
• Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
• Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals.
• Assists with loading and unloading of goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area.
• Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.

• Keeping delivery vehicles clean and looking professional
• Keeping warehouse manager aware of maintenance items needed on vehicles
• Organizing products and rotating stock as product is received
• Daily upkeep with products to maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard
• Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns. Assist in the repair and maintenance for the warehouse equipment
• Operating forklifts
• Load/Unload trucks
• Performs warehouse duties and other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
• Ability to remain focused in busy environment.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass background check, pre-employment screening and random drug/alcohol screenings.
• Minimum, valid Class B CDL.

Physical Requirements:

• Must always adhere to all safety rules.

• Must be able to lift 55+ pounds at a time.
• Willingness to work long hours, particularly during high peak business season, sometimes undesirable ranges of climate and weather conditions.
• Frequent exposure to heavy equipment.
• May need to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to travel frequently.
• Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab.
