We are currently seeking an experienced Boom Truck Operator to fill a full-time position at our Coventry, RI location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of orders to customers, taking great care to inspect all materials as they are prepared for delivery and process all paperwork in accordance with company policy.
  • Must be able to safely operate the vehicle.
  • Secure load properly to assure materials reach job site intact and in good condition
  • Must be able to operate multiple types of vehicles safely and perform pre-trip inspections
  • Report safety issues pertaining to each vehicle to the supervisor and maintain vehicle inspection book
  • Maintain DOT log for deliveries over 100 miles
  • Ensure that annual federal inspection of the vehicle is completed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle (interior/exterior)
  • Represent the company in a professional manner

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
  • Loading trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance with securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
  • Unloading trucks and receiving the merchandise at the warehouse.
  • Move materials and items from receiving to their designated area.

Qualifications:

  • CDL Class B with air brake endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license.
  • At least 1 year of CDL class B driving experience
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen

Schedule

  • Full day time position
  • Monday to Friday 6:30 AM to until finish (home daily)
  • Saturdays 7 AM to 12 PM
