Okalee of Medina, an 82-unit senior living community, is hiring a Full-Time Caregiver/Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will join our skilled team of caregivers to become an important part of our residents' lives, organize and schedule appropriate clinical department coverage, including the master schedule, daily schedule and scheduling replacements for shifts.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position. On-Call coverage is required.

Caregiver/Scheduler responsibilities:

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the nurse.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Complete light housekeeping duties and laundry.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
• Coordinate schedule and staffing levels for the nursing department.
• Interview candidates for open nursing and CNA positions.
• Conduct reference checks and background checks for potential employees.
• Track continuing educational programs for staff.
• Complete daily budget report for all nursing hours.
• Track attendance and complete disciplinary action forms.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Caregiver/ Scheduler skills and requirements:

• A passion for geriatric care.
• 1-2 years prior staffing/scheduling experience highly preferred.
• Must have flexibility in scheduling.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Excellent customer service skills.
