DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review with Client Services Manager results of Care Reviews and take appropriate action as indicated
  • Participate in industry-oriented activities undertaken by Visiting Angels in the local community


OVERVIEW AND JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Director and serving as a member of the Management Team, this position's primary responsibility is ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership to caregivers for the organization's provision of service to our clients. The Caregiver Manager will be responsible for management of activities required to sustain consistent, dependable and timely service through direct supervision of Caregivers. In addition, the Caregiver Manager will develop and facilitate training and human resource support for those employees reporting directly to the Caregiver Manager. This position will collaborate with Client Services to insure timely and appropriate case assignments and provide current and consistent information for processing payroll and invoicing. The Caregiver Manager will be responsible for areas of the organization’s budgets as assigned by the Director.The Caregiver Manager will play an integral role in upholding the mission of Cassiel, Inc. d.b.a. Visiting Angels which states: We provide a profoundly remarkable experience. Coaching our caregivers to live the mission and impact the lives of our clients is the goal.


  • Collaborate with Scheduling Manager to ensure timely & appropriate assignment of caregiving staff, continuity of care, on-time performance, dependability and consistency in meeting scheduled service times.
  • Assistance with application, interviewing and hiring of caregiving staff. This includes caregiver supervision, orientation, on-going training requirements, quarterly caregiver meetings, incentive

programs, evaluation, disciplinary actions and employee records

  • Play a significant role in organizational planning
  • Oversight of Care Staff Coordinator and recruitment process
  • Participate in rotating On-Call requirements for after-hours & weekend service support potentially
  • Oversight of operational-related budget items in coordination with the Directors
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as applied to the Caregiver Manager’s role
  • Oversight of Caregiver Mentor and programming involved
  • Development and implementation of new and/or improved operational activities directed toward growth and quality improvement
  • Management of operational systems, processes and policies in support of the organization’s mission
  • Maintain compliance with HR functions to include unemployment claims and workers compensation
