The Kiva Capital Access Manager will work with a collaborative team to support the Kiva mission and initiatives of Kiva at WWBIC in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties. The Kiva program is designed to support financially excluded and socially impactful entrepreneurs with zero-interest crowdfunded microloans. This is an opportunity to improve real lives, solve hard problems and change the world.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide strategic outreach to identify opportunities to promote Kiva to entrepreneurs in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth Counties by leveraging borrower virality, community events, partnership development, and creative marketing strategies.
  • Meet goals to support small business owners in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties and create a framework and plan for continued growth and sustainability.
  • Target the most vulnerable and financially excluded pockets of entrepreneurs in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties, especially women and minority-owned businesses.
  • Identify and manage relationships with partner organizations in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties with a specific focus on long-term sustainability and success.
  • Cultivate an engaged community among borrowers, trustees, lenders, and volunteers.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in sales, business development, program management, political campaigns, or a related role with an existing network in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties.
  • Must have a deep sense of empathy, patience, and persistence.
  • In addition must be highly independent, proactive, and entrepreneurial and a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and defining your own direction.
  • Must have the ability to work on multiple projects and be flexible and comfortable with change.
  • Must be positive and enthusiastic with a deep passion for the work of Kiva and expanding economic development in SE Wisconsin.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly encouraged

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

  • Work is generally more sedentary in nature with movement required.
  • Work is primarily performed within an office environment with standard office equipment although some travel is required.
