POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the recruitment team, the coordinator will manage the campus visit program including scheduling individual and group visits; training and organizing student ambassadors; communicating with prospective students before, during, and after visits; collaborating with campus academic and student life departments; and conducting tours. Ensure students and their families feel welcome on campus and have an outstanding visit experience. Coordinate and execute all recruitment events.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
General:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students and their families by creating a welcoming and student-centric environment for all constituents before, during, and after campus visits.
  • Work collaboratively with Admissions staff, EM Communications, and University Public Relations to develop effective marketing campaigns, materials, and communications designed to promote recruitment events and campus visits.
  • Fully utilize Jenzabar Recruitment Manager (JRM) to schedule visits and events, maintain records, recruit students, and gather data on the effectiveness of visits and events.
  • Evaluate visit program and event success through frequent assessment and provide reports highlighting return on investment, successes, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Grow, manage, and lead Student Ambassador Program.
  • Maintain the office’s inventory of office supplies, marketing materials, etc. and coordinate ordering of additional supplies as needed.
  • Assist Office of Admissions with admissions and advisement as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Admissions, Vice President of Student Affairs, or President.
Campus Visits:
  • Manage daily operations of scheduling and executing campus visits for individuals and groups.
  • Collaborate with campus community to create a well-rounded and personalized visit for each student, including appointments with academic departments, residential life, student organizations, and other areas as appropriate.
  • Ensure prompt and personalized follow-up communications with prospective students before and after visits.
  • Understand and communicate the history and culture of the University, distinct programs, and strategic goals; establish connections with students and families during visits and ensure access to accurate information on enrollment matters.
  • Train Admissions team and other University personnel on campus visits
  • Conduct campus tours
Events : Conduct, oversee and execute various events.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • High level of organization and attention to detail is required.
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and student information system (Jenzabar or similar) is needed, as well as the ability to learn new technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and train others is needed.
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude, professional behavior, and eagerness to serve, while presenting a calm demeanor.
  • Must work well independently and on a team.
  • Be a good ambassador for the University at all times.
  • Sense of humor, a team spirit and outstanding customer service orientation.

Physical Demands:
  • Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, and the ability to sit, stand, drive, and walk for prolonged periods of time is required.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds, bend, reach, speak, see, and type is required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • An earned bachelor’s degree or years of work experience.
  • Two years of professional work experience; preferably in higher education or event planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in higher education or event planning.
Reports to: Director of Admissions
Supervision: Student workers (paid) & Student Ambassadors (scholarship/volunteer)
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. M-F, some evenings and weekends may be required.
FLSA Classification: FLSA Exempt
