Position Summary:

Leads and coordinates all camp building, renovation, construction, and expansion projects. Assists with general camp maintenance, repairs, custodial, and landscaping duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and lead all camp renovation and construction.
  • Personally lead work on all camp building projects.
  • Maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage all subcontractors required.
  • Order materials and supplies for all projects.
  • Maintain appropriate records on all projects.
  • Coordinate with the County as needed for all projects.
  • Assist with general maintenance and labor at camp including housekeeping and groundskeeping.
  • Assists in checking Camp for safety hazards and reports any deficiency.
  • Assists with the upkeep and preventative maintenance schedule of all vehicles.
  • Attend all staff meetings, trainings and other YMCA functions as required by Supervisor.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with staff and supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of related experience required.
  • Contractor’s license preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and skill in multiple building trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Basic understanding of the upkeep, care and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Criminal Clearance, health screening with negative TB, and negative drug test screening.
  • Complete all required online trainings.
  • CPR and First Aid preferred.

Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor facilities (e.g. childcare and recreational sites); exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on slippery or uneven surfaces. Noise level is usually moderate.
