Faherty Brand is embarking on a new concept starting in our Madison Ave. location, we’re launching our first café!

We are seeking an experienced Café Lead to join our team to oversee the day-to-day operations of the location and supervise the café staff. This individual in this role will work closely with staff members, staff scheduling alongside the Store Leader, monitor sales, and maintain inventory to ensure that supplies are available as needed. They will provide coaching and training to baristas and offer a warm welcoming environment for staff and customers.


What you’ll do:

  • Manage and motivate the café team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked environment.
  • Establish effective and positive communication amongst all team members.
  • In partnership with the Store Leader, create café staff schedules and maintain proper coverage ensuring that the store maintains customer service standards and team members adhere to meal and break policy.
  • Will provide guidance and actively set an example for team members, ensuring that all standard operating procedures are maintained and followed.
  • Follow and direct team members to follow store policies, procedures and adhere to merchandising and cleanliness standards.
  • Promote and practice safe work habits, reporting potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies, and team member incidents to the Store Leader.
  • Pro-active in solving customer problems and satisfying customers in various situations.
  • Provide coaching and training to baristas on performance expectations.
  • Ensure that all team members are educated on our products and services, by developing an understanding of our various types of coffee, tea products, blends and roasts.

What you’ll have:

  • Minimum 2 years of retail or six months of specialty coffee experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Passionate about the products we serve
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Make correct recommendations for handcrafted beverages and food items that satisfy the customer
  • Can clearly and respectfully communicate and express oneself
  • Take initiative and consistently grow and expands cafe knowledge
  • Support company goals and initiatives and is a team player
  • Show respect and kindness to fellow employees and customers
  • Accept responsibility and execute all assignments correctly and with care
  • Accept coaching and feedback from others openly

Physical Requirements

  • Available when we are open for business, including early mornings (5-7am), nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.

We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The base salary range for this position is $23.00-$26.00 per hour, but we will consider skill level and experience to determine the final offer.
