Position Overview:

Xerox has a full-time opening for a Production Buyer to join our Materials Team in Wilsonville, The Production Buyer is responsible for procurement of components in support of our rapidly growing Printhead Business.


Scope:

Work shift is Monday through Friday. Start time between 6am-7:30am.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Place purchase orders to support material and consumables requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers. Ensure delivery commitments meet requirements.
  • Monitor status of inbound deliveries through PO confirmations and advance shipping notifications. Ensure products arrive On Time In Full. Promptly resolve late or incomplete shipments.
  • Review recommendations from planning group and take action on order exception messages (Create, Cancel, Expedite, Delay).
  • Present daily Material status updates to cross-functional team. Escalate supply interruptions.
  • Interface with the planning group to understand material requirements. Provide regular forecasts to suppliers.
  • Work with Global Procurement and Supplier Manager on price changes, supplier capacity, and annual assessment of vendor performance.
  • Monitor Kanbans and place re-orders for expensed consumables.
  • Approve invoices and resolve payment holds.
  • Maintain accurate part and supplier information in ERP system.
  • Create and maintain SOPs.
  • Consult on cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
  • Comply with site certifications and regulatory compliance standards, including ISO-9001 and ISO-14001. Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Propose and participate in continuous improvement activities in the team.

Candidate Education & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business, or related fields a plus but not required)
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Significant expertise utilizing ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with international suppliers\
  • Sense of urgency in support of production.
  • Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented.
