Job Summary: Provides Support to the Purchasing Manager in locating, negotiating, and maintaining the best sources of supply for materials, equipment, supplies and services.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Associate Degree in Business preferred.
• Prior Purchasing experience. Prior experience in Customer Service, Shipping & Receiving and data entry will be considered

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Prior experience with manufacturing ERP system, preferred, SAP in particular.

• Ability to review and understand business agreements and documents.
• Ability to conduct business with all departments as well as vendors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Mathematical and Keyboard/Typing skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze vendor Quotes.
• Review and check requisitions for completeness, clarity, accuracy
• Convert requisitions to Purchase Orders and email to vendors.
• Review vendor Acknowledgements for accuracy and update Purchase Orders as needed.
• Follow up on Purchase Orders to ensure delivery, including freight arrangements.
• Process vendor Invoices and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Ensure all orders are completed and closed.
• Maintain multiple lists/spreadsheets as tools for performing the job.
