The Business Systems Analysis Professional 2 performs analysis of business, process and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis and translation into proper system requirement specifications and EMR configuration. The Business Systems Analysis Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Business Systems Analysis Professional 2 will formulate and define systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures and processes to solve complex problems. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

The Business Systems Analysis Professional 2 will operate as a liaison between the business, IT and project management. They will be responsible for providing consultative services to stakeholders and end users with emphasis on delegated utilization management solution for physician practices.

  • Facilitate content alignment of all EMR databases and assist with any day to day configuration updates.
  • Analyze requirements and complete necessary configuration within EMR system.
  • Guide and elicit business requirements
  • Create vision and scope documentation to support projects
  • Create technical documents and diagrams to illustrate solution
  • Participate in the evaluation of new and existing technologies
  • Identify and define stakeholders given project scope and collaborate with project team on requirement elicitation plan
  • Guide Business Operations in requirement needs and serve as subject matter experts on both the EMR system and processes.
  • Test and implement applications and provide end-user support to drive the adoption of technology and applications.
  • Support Operations as a subject matter expert of system and processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience working in or with physician practices settings.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining system interfaces.
  • Experience eliciting and defining business requirements.
  • General experience with EMR configuration
  • Experience developing and executing test cases.
  • Experience in problem analysis and process
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to critically evaluate business issues and offer solutions.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
  • Prior work history in a fast-paced matrixed organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel 10% based on business need to varying business locations within U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation.
  • Working knowledge or experience with eClinicalWorks

Work at Home Requirements

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
