Job Description:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst role identifies business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs.
Surrounding team key projects- need somebody to help both design the pilots as well as analyze the data that comes out of them. Candidates will be working on a variety of pilots related to technical advisory. Will also be able to work on project management side of things (following up with vendors, SMEs, clients, etc)
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm 20% meetings, 80% heads down, will be closer to 50/50 during ramp up
Interaction level with sponsor/team In the beginning more collaborative with data team and execution vendors, will be comfortable with reaching out to other SMEs when needed. Will be collaborative but a majority will be heads down work.

Best will also have a strong proficiency in excel and 8 or more years of experience with data and business analytics, and are flexible.
Performance indicators Quality of work, adherence to deadlines
1. 6+ years using excel to analyze large data sets
2. 6+ years building data visualizations with PowerBI or an equivalent tool
3. 3+ years conveying analytical results to non-technical cross-functional stakeholders

- They provide data that is accurate, congruent, and reliable, and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.

- Work with clients (internal or external) to determine business requirements, priorities,
- Build an understanding of the business at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues.
- BI Analysts educate and train clients to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms and content for the purpose of analysis and option exploration.
- Design, and document dashboards, alerts, and reports either on a regular recurring basis or as needed.
- Conduct analyses of functional business processes and functional business requirements and participate in the development of business cases in the support of process changes and/or IT projects.
- Provides design support for the development of business intelligence solutions.
- Works on medium-to-complex and cross-functional IT and business intelligence solutions.
- May perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.
- Research business problems and creates models that help analyze these business problems.
- Microsoft suite, STRONG Excel, must be able to run formula and macros and create financial model in excel, Power BI
- Financial modeling experience is needed
