As a Business Intelligence Analyst you'll perform ~70% Business Analyst (BA) responsibilities where you'll translate business requirements into data strategies and recommend solutions to solve complex business problems. This role has ~30% Business Intelligence (BI) component where you will leverage conceptual and logical data models and partner with the Data Team and business partners to create and maintain business visualizations. You’ll gather reporting requirements and then design, implement, and maintain reporting models to ensure reporting capabilities with minimal latency. You’ll also collaborate with other BAs to improve the project execution, data availability, and coordinate overlapping data requests. Development experience with Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS) is required. Experience with Business Intelligence Software is required, Tableau experience strongly preferred.
This is a fully remote position, but must live in the continental US.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand and define customer requirements and design best-in-class business intelligence data visualization solutions
• Maintain design of Tableau interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modeling for high availability reporting
• Establish clear objectives and deliverable timelines for work requests
• Perform several technical functions related to operational and development requirements to include: discover, understand, analyze and document data issues, data enhancements and collect business requirements in the form of functional specifications.
• Work closely with IT and business partners to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs, and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs
• Evaluate business operations through quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify potential process improvements
• Analyze current Tableau reporting environment and recommend optimizations
• Collaborate with technology partners and use root cause analysis to identify and resolve data quality issues
• Create and maintain project related document deliverables for requirements gathering, high level design, testing, validation, and deployment planning
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions; and overall project planning
• Develop test plans, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing of completed projects
• Troubleshoot tickets as assigned

Required

• 6+ years of experience with proven record of successfully conceptualizing, designing, and delivery of business intelligence solutions and various business solutions
• Facilitating meetings including creating agendas, scheduling, leading, capturing action items
• Experience using Business Intelligence software, Tableau on-premises or online experience is preferred
• Proven ability to think strategically and analytically about business issues
• Strong knowledge of all phases of SDLC
• Understands relational databases and basic SQL queries
• Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating and capturing action items
• Working within various levels of an organization

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in a similar field or equivalent professional work experience
• Experience working as a Scrum Master to facilitate sprint grooming, planning and daily standup meetings within the team
• Experience with Data Visualization tools and techniques
• Knowledge of testing phases and approaches including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end
• Experience with big data, cloud strategies, advanced analytics (bonus)
