Learning Services’ Business Development Liaison will be principally responsible for business development within healthcare services sales and relationships with Case Managers, Discharge Planners, and Physicians affiliated with Level 1 trauma centers and acute rehabilitation facilities. The incumbent will design and deliver industry, company, and educational presentations to potential referral sources. In addition, the Business Liaison will work with work comp payors, nurse case managers etc.

The position will be remote-based, but the incumbent will be expected to travel supporting and augmenting sales and marketing efforts in the Escondido area; San Diego, South Orange, Rverside and San Bernardino counties.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Research and develop a written strategic analysis of assigned market territory to include industry growth and competition, referral trends in rehabilitation, structure and development of rehabilitation offerings (and opportunities), and key challenges and prospects.
  • Expand the presence and enhance the image of the Organization in the marketplace.
  • Oversee, track and report all contacts, presentations, and sales efforts necessary to facilitate and track admissions, as well as provide data on the efficacy and impact of marketing efforts.
  • Develop relationships with all national payers; attend conferences, in-services and corporate level meetings.
  • Facilitate and deliver industry, company, and educational presentations to insurers, case managers, physicians, risk managers, life care planners, attorneys, claims adjusters, discharge planners, other potential referral sources.
  • Develop new sales opportunities.
  • In concert with company management team, maintain corporate standards in regards to customer satisfactions with payers/case managers, families, and residents in regards to the Admission’s process.
  • Follow-up on admission inquiries, and obtain all information applicable for potential admissions and team planning
  • Perform and assess pre-admission screening(s) for appropriateness of referral per client needs and goals, the client’s medical evaluation, company services and resources, and any other relevant or pertinent information.
  • Ensure follow up and coordination with referral sources, families, and payer sources and to respond to questions and issues regarding any commitments made during the pre-admission screening process.
  • Ensure that there is an alignment of expectations between the organization, the payer sources/case managers, families, and survivors.
  • Support program efforts to build consensus.

Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health related field preferred (clinical background a plus)
  • Knowledge of funding sources for brain injury care including: worker’s compensation; private funding; structured settlements; lien cases; no-fault insurance; health insurance; Department of Defense and Veterans Administration and public funding systems. Note that a working knowledge and experience in worker’s compensation is a key background for this position.
  • Knowledge of acquired brain injury, post-acute rehabilitation, case management preferred.
  • Frequent travel required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver industry and educational presentations
  • Experience with Google G-Suite preferred
  • Internal communication with all levels of management required, including Program Management, Case Management, Finance and Operations.
  • External communication with insurers, case managers, physicians, risk managers, life care planners, attorneys, claims adjusters, discharge planners, families, survivors and other potential referral sources.
  • Prior experience performing, administering, and coordinating pre-admission screenings
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar sales tracking software a plus
  • Background in Sales of Services or “Rehabilitative” services required
  • 5-7 years of experience preferred
  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and be mobile in a number of settings
  • Highly self-motivated, strong ability to work under minimal supervision and exceptional drive for success required
The base pay for this position has a range of $80,000 - $100,000 with a bonus structure. If we were to proceed with an offer, there are many factors taken into consideration including: your skills, qualifications, experience and more.
