ManTech is seeking a Business Development Analyst to provide research, reporting, market analysis, and associated business development support to improve our company's strategies and competitiveness.

Business Development Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Conduct strategic research on competitors, customers, markets, and opportunities, using open source intelligence and subscription-based tools and other Government sites to gather industry and government market details, and complete analysis on new business opportunities.

  • Research and synthesize market and competitive intelligence by researching available resources, web-sites and publications across a variety of market segments. Research and review agency spending forecasts

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to derive qualified recommendations and assessments, competitive strategies, and approaches. Including identifying potential teaming partners.

  • Gather, analyze and synthesize research findings to develop customized deliverables. Communicate and/or present findings to internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain databases and repositories.

  • Responsible for entering and updating opportunity data in the company’s SalesForce-based CRM system. Analyze and manipulate data within CRM to provide data analysis, reporting, and dashboard data for various market sectors.

  • Lead Defense sector-level Black Hat reviews, including coordinating, facilitating, and preparing read-ahead materials. Develop competitive assessments and competitor analysis.

  • The preferred candidate is collaborative, a critical thinker and enthusiastic with a commitment to excellence.

  • Participate in industry days, appropriate associations, and networking opportunities.

  • Communicate research findings and recommendations in briefings and written reports.

  • Coordinate internally with Business Development/Capture Managers, Operations, Proposals, and Recruiting related to growth initiatives.

  • Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.

  • Supports Business Development/Growth in research related to business planning, pitches and proposals.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Business Development Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus 2-4 years of related experience; or combination of work experience, coursework, training and/or certification may be considered.

  • Experience in open source research, analysis, and data synthesis.

  • Ability to take initiative and identify and implement effective solutions.

  • A critical thinker and problem solver who is hands-on and detail-oriented.

  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, including SalesForce.

  • Advanced knowledge of business development and capture strategies.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relations.

  • Competency in researching sales leads, .

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Collaborative and open to ideas from others. Good communication skills and keeps team members and partners informed.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact successfully with a diverse work force at all levels of the organization, including Executive and C-Level employees.

  • Professional integrity and honesty, as well as personal credibility.

  • Polished written and verbal communication.

  • Strong research, analytical, and presentation building skills.

  • Ability to reconcile large, disparate, and conflicting datasets to draw out insights

  • Eagerness and intellectual curiosity regarding business

  • Comfortable learning and using database and research applications.

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects & deadlines

The projected compensation range for this position is $64,900-$100,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
