A Business Systems Analyst is responsible for using their knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help maximize productivity, efficiency and profitability of the Company by leveraging technology. Duties include talking with end users and management to determine their needs, coordinating with IT professionals to create or update software based on those needs and training company employees on how to use the software effectively in their jobs.

Position Overview

• Performs analyses of the business goals, objectives and needs of the general business to align technology solutions in support of the goals.
• Performs research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to management, or project leaders.
• Plans and designs business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
• Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.
• Identifies and implements best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
• Calculates/estimates costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/return on investment.
• Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.
• Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities.
• May train internal employees on changes to business practices, processes or procedures.
• May perform special projects upon request and on occasion.
• May provide coaching and/or guidance to less experienced Business Analysts.

Other related duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated development of business solutions for the business.
• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience preferably in a Retail Business.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, required
• Superior customer service skills, ability to troubleshoot and explain complex issues to non-technical individuals, required
• Experience using Office 365 , required
• Solid written and oral communication skills, required
• Solid interpersonal and team skills, required
• Solid documentation and reporting skills including time management, required
• Ability to multi-task, required
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, required
• Proven ability to be self-motivated and self-sufficient, required

Physical Demands

• Position primarily requires work using a PC and phone.
• Some after hours and weekend work may be necessary, per client schedules.
