Aon is looking for a Broker II

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions within Aon Risk Solutions, in Philadelphia, PA.


Job Responsibilities
:

  • Responsible for broking/placing and managing Clinical Trials coverage/placements on a Risk Transfer or Fronted basis
  • Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to client.
  • Demonstrate effective negotiation skills on behalf of clients and prospects.
  • Ensure that placements are handled timely and correctly
  • Develop productive business relationships with key Clinical Trial insurance underwriters and Aon local office teams
  • Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.
  • Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer needs.
  • Create presentations such as Renewal Strategies and Coverage Proposals.
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, resourcing, and executing complex projects/programs.
  • Frequently interacts with senior level colleagues and clients, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or clients and the company.

Required Experience:

  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skills, ability to present complex clinical trial insurance programs.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of clinical trial insurance brokerage and/or underwriting experience with an emphasis on worldwide programs and placements
  • Effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices & processes.
  • Proven client facing skills including effective presentations & communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels in the organization.
  • Ability to independently manage a dynamic book of clients
  • Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must maintain appropriate broker’s and Surplus Lines licenses.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $118,100 to $130,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Philadelphia, PA. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
