Newly opened and fully renovated Doubletree by Hilton Monroe hotel is seeking an experienced Breakfast Cook to provide prep & cook items for our breakfast buffet on a daily basis. Full & Part-Time available positions. Hotel experience a plus.

Position Info

The Breakfast Cook will prepare and cook food in a according to menu for hotel Breakfast buffet in our restaurant per the Doubletree by Hilton breakfast buffet standards.

Duties include :

• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
• Cook the exact number of items required to complete the buffet service, while working on several different items simultaneously as required for the buffet.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
• Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
• Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
• Clean, stock, and restock workstations.
• Reorder items required for continued service & stock inventory
• Shift begins 5:30AM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1 year cooking experience, preferably in a hotel & high volume.
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
• Read and understand English
• One year pantry experience preferred but not necessary
• Knowledge of breakfast items & buffet experience required
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
• Prepare food of consistent quality following brand recipe cards
• Proper Documentation on all food containers with adherence to rotations per SOP
• Practice safety standards at all times
• Report to work in full clean uniform on time and ready to serve
• Cook orders with adherence to guest requests/special needs in a positive manner
• Be proactive with ordering and pars, food preparations and equipment upkeep to eliminate service obstacles
