About The Role

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring an Operations Manager for the Logan branch.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Directs and monitors Relationship Banker and Teller operations to ensure they meet organizational goals. Monitors product delivery quality and takes actions to resolve problems. Handles customer problems and complaints; helps customers with special needs or requests.
  • Ensures the organization follows all regulations, policy, and procedures; responsible for compliance issues associated with deposit programs.
  • Provide staff with on-going trainings through staff meetings or one on one coaching.
  • Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of all Bank systems; Identifies and takes action to improve the departments operating methods and procedures.
  • Opens and closes the branch. Maintains and stays abreast of security policies and procedures.
  • Create positive solutions for customer inquiries through cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, scheduling, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies, and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two to five years of similar or related experience
  • Formal new accounts, teller, and operations training is required
  • Two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting deposit programs within the Bank.
  • Capacity to work with multiple computer and software systems.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Need strong leadership skills; ability to mentor and lead.
  • Ability to solve problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage employees while multitasking and prioritizing job responsibilities.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

Salary is dependent upon relevant experience.
