Miller Transportation Group is looking for a Branch Manager to support our growing company in the greater Albany, NY area, also including Newburgh and Glens Falls. This position is an addition to our sales team and will require a combination of account management and outside sales techniques along with branch operations. Ideal applicants will have rental experience and the ability to work independently.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sell rental to businesses in accordance with established company rate, profit, and customer guidelines
  • Responsible to follow the company's merchandising plan in developing the rental customer base on both an aggregate and branch basis
  • Act as a liaison between internal customers such as the maintenance department, lease sales representatives, administration
  • Knowledgeable of trucks, truck equipment, and trucking regulations
  • Follow company guidelines and daily operation of their office, including, but not limited to yard checks, mileage continuity, contract preparation, credit card approvals, insurance verification, driver approvals, billing, trip records, fuel tickets, turndown logs, credit applications, new customers etc.
  • Prepare all rental invoices on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, following established company procedures
  • Coordinate the movement of equipment between locations in order to meet the demands and expectations of our customers (lease and rental)

You Have:

  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • An Associate's Degree
  • Prior Rental Experience
  • At least 3 years of sales experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
  • Willingness to travel as necessary

You May Also Have:

  • A CDL with a clean driving record
  • Truck Rental and Leasing Experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations
