This position removes the lining and/or commodity from the interior and exterior of railcars by grit blast or an automated sponge blast system. The position does require work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

Sayre, Pennsylvania in 1977. Full service railcar repair includes cleaning, repairing, qualifications, blasting and painting of all types of railcars. We are currently looking to fill a
3rd shift position (10:00pm to 6:05am) for
BLASTER . In this position, you would manual blast the interior and/or exterior of railcars with grit blast. When required, this position also operates an automated sponge blast system with manual assist. Blasters start at a rate of $19.51 per hour with an additional shift differential. Applicants will need to complete a pre-employment physical including respirator clearance to enable work to both the inside and outside of the railcars.

Description of Duties / Qualifications:
- Must pass the applicable blaster tests as required
- Must be capable of understanding and performing the blasting requirements for interior and exterior of all types of railcars
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to pass a Company skill assessment test
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stoop for extended periods and routinely move from kneeling to standing position
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground surface
- Must be able to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to pass Company physical exam
- Must be able to pass alcohol and drug testing
- Must be able to pass vision acuity test
General Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future
