BIOMARKER SCIENTIST Job at University of Wisconsin–Madison

University of Wisconsin–Madison Madison, WI 53706

Job Summary:

The Biomarker Core of the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC), together with the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer's Prevention (WRAP; https://wrap.wisc.edu) is seeking a biomarker scientist to join our team.

As imaging and blood-based biomarkers for Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and related disorders (ADRD) continue to rapidly evolve, there is a need to determine when the proteinopathies become detectable in the brain relative to age and risk factors, how they relate to established imaging or fluid markers, how they perform in diverse ethnoracial and socioeconomic communities, and how they can inform on multi-etiology causes of impairment. Further, there is great need to determine how imaging and blood markers may be best applied in several use contexts including screening into prevention and observational trials, and community clinical settings, and as outcomes in treatment and prevention trials.

We seek an experienced scientist to support and collaborate on several exciting biomarker studies in our program. The scientist will be involved in the conduct and analysis of studies pertaining to early detection of AD and other causes of cognitive impairment. The candidate will join a highly collaborative team spanning several institutions.
