PROGRAM

We have multiple opening for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Peer Support partner. Please read the program descriptions below. Experience with the Escondido School District strongly preferred. Work schedule is 7:30 - 4pm, monday - Friday.

Screening to Care is aVista Hill Prevention / Early-Intervention (PEI) Program partnering with the Escondido Union School District (EUSD) and Ramona School District for middle school students (grades 6-8), utilizing an evidence-based practice model to provide a myriad of support services to the student’s families.

PROMOTE! Is a partnership with the Escondido Union School District (EUSD) to provide evidence-based prevention and early mental health intervention services to at-risk and disadvantaged children, ages 3-8, in 12 EUSD elementary schools.

POSITION

Support Partners work with EUSD’s/RUSD’s current Family Liaisons and Vista Hill Social-Emotional Education Specialists to plan and implement parenting support services while using your real-life experiences and knowledge of community-based resources. Duties include:

  • Inspire and promote parents to participate in school-wide programs such as Parent Workshops, Parent Trainings and access resources through school Family Engagement Centers.
  • Work collaboratively with Family Liaisons and the Vista Hill team to help families engage and be part of the school process with their children.
  • Participate in community-based events, parenting support groups, and connect with parents to identify and address common areas of need and how to address these needs in the community.
  • Work collaboratively with the EUSD/Ramona Family Liaison Team to promote parent outreach and family engagement in school and community events
  • Support Vista Hill Staff with a social emotional curriculum program, Small Group service outreach, and linking clients and caregivers to tier 3 community mental health services
  • Provide parenting support services
  • Link parents to Family Workshops and Wellness Activities
  • Provide referral and linkage to community-based resources

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate.
  • Prior experience with working with clientele similar to those in the assigned Program.
  • Valid CA drivers license and reliable transportation required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Must pass background check, drug test, TB test and COVID vaccine requirements.

HOURS

40 hours a week, Monday – Friday 7:30 - 4pm.

PAY

$16.30 per hour

This is a starting rate and may be adjusted up based on education and experience.

Current Vista Hill employees in this job title for 2023 are paid $16.30 - $18.50 per hour.

BENEFITS

Employees working over 30 hours a week receive employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, employer-paid retirement contribution and clinical supervision (if applicable). Some programs qualify for student loan forgiveness programs.

Employees who work less than 30 hours a week do not qualify for healthcare benefits.
