Job Summary:

The Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in our organization as the first and most frequent contact point for our patients. The Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator creates the tone of the patient experience and sets the stage for other departments to give exemplary care in a welcoming environment. As a Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator you create and represent the lasting impression of our Practice and are integral to the growth and success of our organization.

The Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator supports the Practice by greeting and welcoming our guests in a pleasant, professional manner. As effective communicators, the Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator team answers phones, schedules appointments, and provides accurate information to our patients. Ensuring accurate information is conveyed to other aspects of patient care including care providers, insurance coordinators, and leadership members.

Professional & Personal Skills:

Excellent time management skills to maintain quality and efficiency in a high volume environment. Strong organizational skills to ensure a timely and seamless experience for our guests from entry to exit. The ability to assess and prioritize tasks

Consistent, positive and service oriented verbal skills, utilizing established scripting for the making and receiving of all calls. Ability to maintain a 99% call answered rate consistently, managing patient wait times in our practice and on the phone.

Clerical skills performed accurately, ensuring the distribution of records to relevant parties, managing billing information, collection of payments, and accurately posting payments for patients.

● Verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with patients, team members, vendors, and doctors.

● Organizational skills to manage records, documents, and tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

● Conflict mitigation skills through active listening and assessing patient needs.

● Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards.
● Must be comfortable seeing and able to maintain a professional demeanor and attitude in all working conditions
● Must be detail oriented in order to work efficiently to maintain patient and doctor schedules.
● Must demonstrate active listening by giving full attention to both the verbal and non-verbal communications of patients to anticipate and assess their needs.
● Must demonstrate good reading comprehension by understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
● Must demonstrate excellent communication skills by talking to others to convey information effectively.

Physical Requirements:

● Prolonged periods of sitting at and using technologies (computer, phone,etc)
● Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
● Aptitude for detail and precision

Compensation for this position includes:
