BI Lead Architect/Developer Job at Wiss & Company, LLP
The BI Lead Architect is responsible for the entire lifecycle of BI deliverables, including initial analysis, design, development, testing, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills, an analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills. You will interact with internal business associates (customers) and leverage analytic tools like Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server, SSRS, and other systems to address business needs.
The position resides in Florham Park, NJ but Wiss will offer the candidate a permanent hybrid work schedule (1-2 days in the office).

Core Responsibilities:
- Meet with Customers to understand business problems and questions, exploring options to model data driven platforms used for analyzing answers.
- Become a trusted partner for Customers who translate business questions into analysis; then help interpret the analysis into actionable steps.
- Create plans to answer business questions which include data to be analyzed, expected results and include wireframes, when appropriate, demonstrating the expected results.
- As a Data Architect, work with team members to design, implement, and support data structures to enable BI Tools for reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with business as a data visualization subject matter expert as well as create complex and innovative dashboards, ad hoc data depictions for stand-alone analysis and coordinated projects.
- Actively participate in the design, development, and maintenance of complex BI Dashboards, Reports, Queries, and integrated applications
- Lead projects and provide functional oversight for project management.
- Create user experience guides for data visualization strategy.
- Manage other resources to complete the development work needed to deliver the required product to the client.
- Review produced analytics and results with stakeholders to ensure content meets business requirements.
- Train users to facilitate adoption and understanding of BI reports and tools.
- Proactively initiate projects and analysis targeting opportunities for revenue growth, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
- Communicate with senior management and enterprise staff regarding resources for facilitating a culture of data-driven decision making.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or other related technical domain
- 8+ Business Intelligence Analytics experience with experience in designing, creating, and delivering data structures (data warehouse/data marts/data hubs/data lakes) to support reporting and analytics. Knowledge on Inmon or Kimball methodologies a plus.
- 5+ years designing, developing, implementing, and managing data integration process using ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or Infosphere
- 3+ years leading technical teams in business intelligence and reporting.
- Experience working with ERP and CRM systems is preferred.
- Experience and familiarity with processes, platforms, and stakeholders
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Advanced degree or Data Science background is preferred (Statistical Mathematics, Information Systems, Data Mining, Predictive Analytics, etc.)
- Certifications in BI analytics applications is preferred (Power BI/MicroStrategy/Tableau/SAS/R, etc.)
- Certifications in data integration tools is preferred (MS SSIS, Informatica, Infosphere, Talend, Information Builders, etc.)
