Description
Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children under the clinical supervision of a BCBA. The behavior technician will follow individualized treatment plans, behavior plans, and other clinical instructions to deliver quality therapeutic services to each child and the family.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily acquisition skills, maintenance, and mastered skills as directed by BCBA and collect/document accurate data on a daily basis
  • Complete all data sheets, programming sheets, progress notes, and billing sheets daily
  • Maintain legible up to date records. This includes, but is not limited to the following: sign in sheet, daily log, program data, and behavior data.
  • Follow behavior plan, individualized treatment plan, and reinforcement schedule as prescribed
  • Implement appropriate teaching strategies and behavior modification approaches
  • Complete all programing requests from BCBAs in a timely manner
  • Arrive on time to all scheduled appointments
  • Adhere to standard operating policies and procedures and expectations of professional conduct of KFS ABA
  • Assist in providing a safe environment for all patients and staff
  • Portray a positive attitude and maintain a customer and co-worker satisfaction level that limits adverse situations or complaints
  • Promote KFS ABA philosophies, generating team spirit and creating and maintaining an environment that fosters family/parent satisfaction, maximizes productivity
  • Attend weekly meetings and training, as requested
  • Educate parents on reinforcement and early intervention information
  • Observe confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information
  • Immediately report all incomplete work assignments to BCBA
  • Provide Instruction to patient/family in center/clinic program with documentation in medical record notes
  • Accept assignment of in-home cases as needed and assigned by manager
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a CPR certification/First Aid certification and re- certification every 2 years
  • Successful completion and maintenance of Safety Care Training
  • Maintain a clear criminal record
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with Autism or other developmental disabilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Reliable means of transportation, if using own vehicle, must have valid state driver’s license and current automobile insurance
  • Record of immunization to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella, pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Drive to various locations per day for up to an hour and a half at a time, but a minimum of thirty minutes

Physical Demands

  • Must have full physical dexterity/agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required (bending, kneeling, computer typing, standing, fetching documents from file cabinets).
  • Must have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities.
  • Need to be able to lift and carry pediatric population (weight ranging from 5 to 50 lbs.)
