Position: Part-time
Location: Stanwood, Michigan
Wage: $17.35/hour ($15 base pay + $2.35 Non-Positive Covid Premium Pay while working with Consumers)

We are offering a sign on Bonus from May 2023 to Sept 2023: Full time employees will receive $70 for every month worked between May 2023 to Sept 2023 (=$350.) Part time employees will receive $35 for every month worked between May 2023 to Sept 2023 (=$175.)

Responsibilities:

• Be a positive role model.
• Must be able to complete required reports and follow written and oral instructions related to the care and supervision of residents.
• Be able to handle emergency situations. It may be necessary to use physical intervention techniques from time to time which may require twisting, kneeling, bending, crouching, grabbing, holding, and quick movement.
• Meet the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of each consumer.
• Promote a culture of gentleness/trauma informed care.
• Participating and maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that staff follows agency policies and procedures.
• During the orientation period of employment, new employees will receive intense on-the-job training from experienced members of the staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's preferred
• At least 6 months full-time experience working with people who have developmental disabilities or mental illness or 1 year of experience in a comparable setting.
• Good physical health (regular lifting of 50lbs)
• Three good character and work references submitted during hiring process.
• Must pass all necessary training exams required (provided by Listening Ear)
• Michigan Driver’s License
