Summary


Advanced Practitioner within an outpatient care setting at the BSLMG location. Support the healthcare system with the management of specified populations though independent and collaborative clinical management.


Job Purpose

Provides advanced practitioner care to patients in a clinical setting in an area of specialization under the direction of a physician.


Job Responsibilities

  • Synthesizes and critically analyzes data to identify needs, formulate diagnosis, and establish a treatment plan for a patient, family, and/or population
  • Implements individualized, evidence-based interventions based on assessment, treatment plan, and identified prioritizes to maximize health potential and/or expected goals of a patient, family, and/or population
  • Evaluates progress toward expected goals of a patient, family, and/or population in a systematic and ongoing manner with modification to the plan as appropriate
  • Serves as a clinical expert to the interdisciplinary team
  • Incorporates and disseminates research findings and evidence-based practice into treatment plans, protocols, and guidelines
  • Location: Agape Physicians in The Woodlands

Minimum Qualifications


For Physician Assistant:


  • Education Required: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. NOTE: Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies accepted based on terminal degree requirements at time of graduation.
  • Experience Required: 2 to 5 years of medical experience
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: Current license as a Physician Assistant by the State of Texas Physician Assistant Board. Specialty certification as required by department. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Certified by NCCPA


For Nurse Practitioner:


  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Experience Required: 2 to 5 years of medical experience
  • Texas APRN license required


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to facilitate change
