Position Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operation and supervision of the front of house restaurant & bar as well as help in catering operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Approach all encounters with members and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Responding efficiently and accurately to member complaints.
- Lead in the selection and continuous training of servers, bartenders, and bussers to provide high quality service.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations with minimum supervision.
- Ensure that the FOH restaurant and bar area is at all times in compliance with local and state codes in regard to sanitation, safety and work rules.
- Supervise individual shifts, helping ensure that dining members are served in a manner that meets the standards set by the club.
- Supervise and staff in accordance with staffing guidelines and training manual. Adjust schedules throughout the week to meet business demands.
- Be knowledgeable on the various types of drinks and food offerings that are available at the club, as well as the activities and services in the surrounding areas (comp set).
- Order all alcohol based on demand; Conduct monthly liquor inventory.
- Ensure completion of all department Daily/Weekly Checklists.
- Provide timely feedback to staff on their performance; assist in annual evaluations.
- Ensure staff are educated in the correct usage and care of all department equipment.
- Lead and be an active participant in weekly department head staff meetings.
- Conduct monthly department meetings.
- Inspect public areas for cleanliness daily and assign projects as needed.
- Ensure all chemicals are correctly used, labeled, and stored,
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Prior restaurant experience preferred.
Must be able to follow tasks and lead a team.
