Creditors' rights law firm seeks a bankruptcy attorney. Position requires client contact and a high-volume workload. License to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Basic Function
Primarily manages bankruptcy routine matters; draft and review all pleadings and claims filed in the particular matter; attends scheduled hearings; responds to general firm wide bankruptcy inquiries; and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Review filings on behalf of the clients
  • Monitoring of all electronic filings (ECFs)
  • Resolving routine bankruptcy matters such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of claim, etc.
  • Regular communication with the client, opposing counsel and the Court

Required Skills
Knowledge of bankruptcy rules/laws and general Creditor Rights laws
Computer Literacy Professionalism
Keyboard Skills Attention to detail
Time Management Communication Skills

Education
Law degree – JD
Barred in Pennsylvania
Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Pennsylvania

Experience
This position requires knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and relevant local rules within the various bankruptcy courts in Florida. Knowledge of general Creditors' Rights law and relevant state laws are also necessary. Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy cases is preferred.
