The Global Function Technology (GFT) Function Program Management Office (FPMO), which is part of the Chief Operating Office (COO) for GFT O&T (Operations & Technology), is responsible for a wide range of support activities including but not limited to Program Governance, Oversite, Structure, Training, and Central Reporting.

The GFT O&T FPMO has an opening for a Risk and Audit analyst. The candidate will execute a wide range of support activities, both quantitative and qualitative in nature to support our Program Management, Risk and Audit, and Regulatory processes. The candidate will interface mainly with FPMO management, Operational Risk Management (ORM), Internal Audit (IA), and the Citi Regulatory interaction team across all levels of management.

This role will primarily support the PMO processes related to Risk and Control reviews and audit/regulatory submissions. These processes are within the Citi Governance, Risk, and Control framework including the Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA) and Regulatory Inventory Mapping (RIM). The analyst will coordinate the MCA processes includes annual risk assessment, quarterly risk assessment, and continuous control monitoring. The analyst will serve as the point of contact for audit and regulatory submissions including quarterly business monitoring and ongoing regulatory supervision meetings as well as addressing any Corrective Action Plans (CAP) within the GFT FPMO. This includes opening, maintaining, updating, and driving audit issues to closure. The PMO framework includes multiple governance and oversight processes with controls throughout, this role will perform an ongoing control mapping review to identify gaps and remediation actions within the PMO processes. The role will also review, monitor, provide trend analysis, and improvement opportunities for Risk Appetite performance within GFT.

This position provides a platform for continued development and visibility across a global organization as well as exposure to senior management and other functions. In order to be successful the candidate will need to have a very methodical and well organized approach to running the various processes that s/he will be involved in and following up on open items, but equally importantly, s/he needs to be able to build relationships with the process partners in ORM and IA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the PMO Governance, Risk, and Controls processes including continuous control, monitoring, quarterly risk assessment, and annual risk assessment
  • Provide central point of contact for PMO submissions to IA, ORM, and regulators
  • Perform PMO framework, procedures, and controls reviews including control mapping, gap identification, and remediation
  • Work with Citi Risk & Control to open, maintain, and update any Corrective Action Plans (CAP)
  • Proactive management of Risk Appetite (RA)to ensure minimal to no breaches
  • Trend analysis of RA breaches to enhance future reporting cycles, training, & tooling
  • Enforce governance guidelines, follow up on exceptions
  • Produce reporting to support PMO continuous risk and control monitoring
  • Modernize and maintain ways of communication to improve overall team discussions
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to identify potential issues and trends
  • Gather and proofread commentary on risk review and control monitoring
  • Gather and proofread deliverables for Internal Audit and Regulatory exams
  • Gather and proofread deliverables to support the Quality Adherence & Book of Work Health lead
  • Conduct and provide monthly user acceptance testing (UAT) of the Project Tracking System (PTS)

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of combined relevant experience in Risk and Control, PMO, Project Management, and/or Process Management
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Demonstrated ability to methodically synthesize and analyze data and processes
  • Attention to detail to ensure precision of control monitoring, and regulatory submissions
  • Critical thinking and problem solving ability
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective, mutually beneficial relationships with members of the global GFT O&T community, ORM, and IA
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and shift from one task to another on short notice as priorities change
  • Demonstrates commitment and accountability and is self-confident in executing responsibilities.
  • Ability to build consensus. History of success working in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Quickly grasp and master new requirements and related knowledge
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process, and seek out answers

  • Advanced MS Excel / Access experience including ability to manipulate & analyze large datasets
