Based in Louisville, Kentucky, our Home Office team is looking for an Assistant Vice President of Financial Reporting. This role is a flexible, hybrid position.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
The AVP of Financial Reporting is responsible for managing analysis and verification of financial records, in addition to preparing internal and external financial and statistical reports. Other key responsibilities include:
  • Manages and compiles monthly internal reports for multiple managed entities with commentary on results and financial position.
  • Oversees all internal reports to maintain consistency.
  • Generates and distributes monthly financial and statistical reports to management and facility personnel.
  • Monitors statistical data for accuracy.
  • Manages and generates ad-hoc reports and assists management with interpretation and analysis of such reports.
  • Reviews financial statements for proper accounting treatment of revenue and expense items.
  • Consults with company personnel on accounting-related issues.
  • Provides training on accounting and related systems on an as-needed basis.
  • Prepares audit schedules and other reports for external auditors.
  • Periodic travel including overnight stay as necessary.
  • Leads by Example (LBE), upholds and promotes the culture, mission and values of the company.
  • Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.


  • Qualifications
  • Four-year (4) degree in accounting, business management or economics preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles in the US.
  • Master's degree and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Five to seven (5-7) years' experience as a director or Assistant Vice President level or higher.
  • Exemplary computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned.

Physical requirements

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
