The Thompson Organization is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager. Responsibilities include, supervising and motivating salespeople and promoting and encouraging sales strategies. The Sales Manager is also responsible for hiring and training talented sales representatives. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of automotive sales experience and an impressive track record of closing deals and retaining customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of automotive salespeople
• Set sales goals, track progress, and lead the team to achieve and exceed those quotas
• Coach salespeople on best practices and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance
• Lead the negotiation process with sales consultants
• Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters
• Manage a CRM platform
• Outstanding customer service
• Inventory control
• Work with all dealership departments to ensure cooperation and teamwork throughout the dealership
• Work with sales consultants and other managers to ensure proper follow up of all prospects
• Understand and communicate manufacturers incentives, rebates, and lease/finance programs
