This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

Performs mechanical work in the adjustment, maintenance and repair of gasoline or diesel engines and motorized equipment under the supervision of a higher level automotive mechanic, performs routine tasks involved in the major overhaul of engines; and performs other related duties as assigned.

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Experience: TWO (2) YEARS of work experience as an apprentice or helper under a journey-level automotive mechanic; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Driver's License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. The immediate vacancy has this requirement.

Lift and Carry: Some positions require the ability to lift and carry object of varying weights, with or without reasonable accommodation. The immediate vacancy requires the ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted by another person and/or use of equipment (e.g., hoisting equipment, hand truck), with or without reasonable accommodation.
