We are a family owned and operated low voltage integrator specializing in Smart Homes, Home Theater, Lighting, Shades IP video, CCTV Security and Fire Systems. EE has been serving Southwest Florida for over 40 years. Executive Electronics is currently opening 2 new offices, one in Naples and one in Tampa.
There is current opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as Audio Visual Estimator/Engineer in our new showroom office! Construction industry experience is preferred, however not required. The Audio Visual Estimator/Engineer supports sales by creating estimates for low-voltage systems including Audio and Video, Security and Surveillance, Wi-Fi networks, Home Theaters, Lighting, Home Automation, etc. in interfacing with clients and builders with questions via email or phone calls.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities, but are not limited to:
- Preparing work to be estimated by gathering any third-party or competitive proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Working closely with salesperson to gather additional information, and double check materials list, labor, and margin expectations.
- In addition to developing a proper bill of materials and labor schedule, and just as importantly, the Estimator will take time to ensure scope of work/proposal layout is accurate, and easy to understand, both for the clients and installers
- Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions etc.) on time, and accurately.
- Works with admin team to get key parts in the system and keep costs and descriptions up to date
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
- Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
- Knowledge of relevant software is a plus, but not required (WeOpp, WeSuite, Sedona Office).
- Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues
- Job may require travel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
- The Estimator may be eligible for additional monthly compensation if overall sales results are achieved at approved gross margin.
