JOB SUMMARY

Providing prompt and courteous service with a high quality of food and beverage services in a Café setting. Under the supervision of our Café Supervisor the individual will prepare food and beverages to order, maintain a clean and efficient work environment, process payments in a fast and accurate manner. The Ideal candidate will be dependable, self-motivated and one who can work independently in high volume situations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Performs a variety of duties to assist the cafeteria and kitchen
  • Provide service to patients, staff and visitors
  • Responsible to perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Greets and serves customers in polite professional manner
  • Works with kitchen equipment (i.e. coffee urn, soda/drink machines, pizza warmer, fryolator, combi oven, salamander, knives, stand mixer)
  • Operates cash register according to policy
  • Able to follow recipes
  • Able to multitask and prepare several food items simultaneously
  • Service of food during meal times
  • Cleaning of work area using approved chemicals in proper dilution/fashion
  • Stocks area with adequate supply of paper goods and food items
  • Communicates effectively with staff members and supervisors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

Experience:

  • Prior café or coffee shop experience a plus
  • Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software
