The Assistant Manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations of our warehouse to ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage and distribution of all products. This position actively participates in recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and disciplining all Team Members. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for creating and implementing processes to continually improve operations as well as ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. This position also maintains the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment and the protection of our assets.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee accurate and timely receipt, storage and distribution of all products
  • Consistently review all par levels to ensure inventory is ordered timely and levels are maintained/adjusted to meet business demands/volumes and minimize waste
  • Responsible for the inventory of all storerooms on a monthly basis as scheduled and resolving any noted discrepancies/variances
  • Daily walkthroughs of the inventory locations to check all dates, properly rotating product if needed, checking and maintaining appropriate freezer/cooler temperatures and noting any aging or excess product for follow-up to minimize waste
  • Demonstrate decision-making and problem-solving skills to determine root cause of any warehouse related issues
  • Scheduling Team Members to ensure adequate coverage at all times
  • Professional and respectful communication with all of the property’s Team Members to ensure superior guest service at all times
  • Ensure quality of all product meets our expectation and if not, process accordingly
  • Timely and accurate processing of receiving paperwork and accurate documentation of any discrepancies
  • Oversee shipment/return of product
  • Maintain documentation related to all warehouse activities including financial and audit records
  • Assist with compiling information related to audit requests throughout the year including responding to all findings and utilizing the findings to improve operations
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring and training all Team Members
  • Coaching, counseling and disciplining all Team Members
  • Providing timely feedback and evaluations to effectively communicate performance to all Team Members
  • Create performance metrics and productivity targets
  • Create cross-training opportunities to continually develop our team
  • Create rewards and recognition programs
  • Safeguard and protect all the warehouse assets
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order at all times
  • Responsible for the physical condition of the warehouse ensuring that all areas are clean, neat and organized
  • Must adhere and comply with all of the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Policies and Procedures
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field, as well as three to five (3-5) years’ supervisory experience in Warehouse operations, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
  • Knowledge of safe materials handling including ServSafe certification, storage procedures, OSHA laws and hazardous waste procedures and laws required to effectively supervise warehouse activities
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, reachlifts and other equipment used in Warehouse operations, prefer a Certified Forklift Trainer
  • Must possess the ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Must possess the ability to operate a computerized inventory system
  • Must be flexible with working hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, seasonal scheduling and high-volume event days

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be faced-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 25 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending.
