About this Position:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for 5 Training Centers on the Western half of the country. The Assistant Manger works directly with Training Center Coordinators and Instructors to make sure we provide qualified, technicians for Honda and Acura dealerships. The person is also responsible for supporting the Fixed Ops Training delivery for our Honda/Acura Service Advisors/Consultants by working supporting the Service Training Specialist. This person will be responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the company’s Department Manager. Their duties include supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing support in escalated situations and managing the overall workflow of a workplace. Providing such support contributes to the process of creating qualified technicians for Honda and Acura dealerships and supports Honda's goals for improved customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Training Center Staff (5 TC’s across the western half of the country)
  • Dealers meeting Repair Tech Certifications
  • Dealers meeting Diagnostic Certifications
  • Dealers meeting Service Advisor Certifications
  • Dealers meeting Service Consultant Certifications
  • Other Projects (TOP Skills Competition)

Required Work Experience:

  • Experience working in an automotive repair environment
  • Experience working in automotive education

Required Education:

  • High school. Associates degree or higher preferred.

Desired skills:

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Fundamental automobile technical skills/knowledge

    • Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
