Chevron Exploration & Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of Associate Workover Representative located near Midland, TX through March 30th, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Standard Time).
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • On-site supervision of MCBU’s Permian Basin Routine Well Work
  • Detailed understanding of various production systems including but not limited to Rod pumps, Gas Lift, ESP, Plugger Lift, and injection wells.
  • Familiarity and competence in computer programs including Excel and Word. Understand, coach, and reinforce RWW Site control, V&V, HES policies, and Human Performance principles.
  • Understanding of existing RWW processes in Zone management tool, site control, lessons learned debrief, Centaur and Wellview.
  • Responsible for OE performance of large contractor workforce, including multiple rigs and rigless operations. Effectively utilizes a multitude of Business Partners and other resources and ensures contractor compliance in Human Performance, V&V, MSW and Industry or Company Standards.
  • Ensures safe execution of all aspects of routine well work (i.e. on-site supervision and a technical resource).
  • Charged with the Ensures all environmental, regulatory & safety concerns are addressed, and full compliance is maintained during the execution of all routine well work.
  • Stays up to date on required training, new training, and tools to build the proficiency of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of various production zones including CO2 floods, water floods, vertical base production, and tight shale horizontals. Understanding of Acid treatments, chemical spotting, rod/tubing fishing principles.
Required Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be able to read and understand RWW job plans and must be able to dissect wellbores and rod star.
  • Required technical skills include but are not limited to knowledge of rod grades, rod pump, setting of tubing anchors with calculated stretch, pumping unit designs, anchor pattern knowledge to rig up multiple rigs on the same pad, Land Mobile Rigs, BOP's, Hydrotesting Tubing, Scanning Tubing/Rods, knowledge of wellhead systems including completion and decompletion of QCI ESP, latch type wellhead
  • Must be able to accurately track and record daily activities and costs in Wellview, and look for improvement opportunities.
  • Must be flexible, fast-moving, and capable of supporting multiple rig and rigless operations across the Permian basins.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the work location.
  • The job schedule is a 4/10 non-rotational, but candidates must be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, 24-hour work, 7 day work week.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Chevron IADC supervisor level well control certificate is preferred or equivalent.
  • Have production rig supervisor experience.
  • Be able to stay out of town when needed.
  • Flexible on schedule to meet the needs of our customers and team.
  • Possibly relocating to area that work will require you to be available on short notice to support OE.
