In this role, you will work under the general supervision of the Associate Behavioral Health Director to provide quality psychosocial services to our health center patients. Benefits:

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts complete biopsychosocial assessments of patients' needs and creates a plan in collaboration with the patient.
  • Provides short-term individual counseling/therapy to patients with mild to moderate mental health needs using appropriate modalities for patients with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, domestic violence, behavioral health problems, and psychosocial stressors.
  • Maintains clinical charting to meet the requirement of legal reporting, billing, Quality Improvement, interdisciplinary care, and collaboration.
  • Participates in agency and/or grant-driven directives and outcomes.
  • This position is primarily clinical, with 10% blocked in the template as "follow-up/charting time."
  • Associates will conduct 1:1 counseling and group counseling.
  • This position has 10% allotted time for a project or consults time. Associates can participate in consultations or workgroups within the BH department.
  • Associates with participating in weekly 1:1 supervision and 2-hour group supervision/consultation toward collecting licensure hours.
  • Productivity expectation for this position is .75 patients per clinical hour.
Qualifications:
  • Qualifying master’s degree
  • Registered with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as ASW
  • Fluency in Spanish is required
  • Experience working with adults or pediatric populations, depending on clinic need
  • Previous experience in a medical/social service setting providing counseling or therapy services
  • Previous experience working with an interdisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed Care
  • Experienced in Electronic Health Records, Medical and Medicare documentation preferred
