Position Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory levels and demand trends to ensure products are always in stock for a Fortune 500-sized company.

• Provide analytical support to enable team members to make educated, well-informed business decisions.

• Prepare recommendations to support the Purchasing department's continuous improvement.

• Develop new tools and utilize existing tools to automate manual tasks and increase labor efficiencies.

• Create metrics to measure purchasing effectiveness and improvement opportunities.

• Document process flows and procedures for purchasing and forecasting functions.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• Experience or education in data mining and analytics using SQL, VBA, Access, R or other programming languages a plus.

• Experience in purchasing, supply chain management, demand forecasting or related field a plus.

• Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.

• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
