JOB SUMMARY:

Participates as a member of a “Team” to accomplish shared goals and objectives. Working under the direction of Team Leaders and Production Leads, the Level 2 position’s primary responsibility is to ensure the finished products and palletized cases meet product specification.

Monitors use of equipment and safety devices

Immediately addresses any unclean or unsafe conditions

Responsible for general housekeeping

JOB OBJECTIVE:

To perform this job successfully and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required

JOB TASKS

Hand loads product onto conveyor at front end of proofer

Transfers products from conveyors to proofers

Stands at proofer exits and at fryers to inspect products, ensure product meets standards

Counts, packs and performs final inspections of product in packaging, ensure products is packed and labeled correctly

May be required to make boxes by hand

Participates in plant safety programs and practices

May be required to move loaded pallets and/or ingredients with use of electric pallet jack

Performs other similar or associated duties as necessary to accomplish job objectives in an effective manner as assigned by Team Leader or Packaging Leads

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to understand and follow GMP rules and safety rules and instructions

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to compute rates and percents

REASONING SKILLS

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral form

COMPUTER SKILLS

Basic Computer skills

WORK SITE MEASUREMENTS:

Able to work around flour and cinnamon and other bakery ingredients as part of the daily activities

Daily activities include walking, standing, reaching, twisting, stooping, grasping and working near noisy equipment, fryers and occasionally the freezer

Boxes weighing at least 20 lbs

Protected work stands and platforms 3’ high

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is frequently exposed to moving equipment and moving mechanical parts. The level of noise in the work environment fluctuates based on the process and hearing protection is required.
