Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a leading California private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as; Vocational Nurse, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound Technology), Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, Medical Imaging, RN Nursing Program (RN to BSN Pathway), Associate of Science of Nursing (ADN), Psychiatric Technician, Medical Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Dental Assistant.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Vocational Nursing Program Clinical Coordinator for our Concord, CA Campus.

Basic Function

The primary function of the Assistant Program Clinical Coordinator is to assist the Vocational Nursing Program Clinical Coordinator to ensure the day-to-day clinical rotations of the students at the affiliated clinical sites. This is done through assisting with the management and oversight of students currently or preparing for the clinical rotations, constant communication with clinical sites, clinical instructors, program director and outreach department. This is not limited to but includes the management and oversight of all instructors in their clinical roles. This also includes student academic management to ensure acceptable pass rates and licensure exam out comes meet school policy standards. Clinical site acquisition assistance/participation and maintenance is also a key responsibility forth is role. Student management also includes involvement to ensure satisfactory academic progress is being maintained (as well as the assignment of appropriate tutoring support) and that student marks, attendance, remediation documentation, and other reprimands are all kept up to date. Instructor evaluation, educational in-service plans, evaluations (student and managerial), goal setting, and reprimands are also kept up to date. In addition, the Assistant Vocational Nursing Program Clinical Coordinator will also function as a Clinical instructor as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Bachelors or associate degree from an accredited school
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with an Associate’s degree.

Salary: DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $81,000.00 - $103,500.00 per year
