Little Owly’s is a privately owned Early Childhood Center and Preschool located in Prairie Village, Kansas. Our goal at Little Owly’s is to create a community for children that builds close friendships and enhances the wonder and magic of learning.
We are seeking to hire an assistant director for our new program, "The Owl's Nest", that offers summer camp to school age children, before and after care during the school year, and a mom's day out program for toddlers. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and coordinating the services offered. With the help of the director, also exercise decision making authority. The assistant director would help operate the program to conform to the regulations required by the Kansas Department of Health and the individual policies set in place by the program itself. The ideal candidate will establish trusting and caring relationships with children, families, and fellow co-workers while maintaining a loving and nurturing learning environment for all children. The work of the assistant director involves a mixture of leadership and teaching responsibilities which include:
- Providing thorough communication with parents and staff
- Ability to work well with children and parents
- Ability to motivate others toward learning new skills
- Ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical, and professional conduct
- Ability to provide support and instruction to others
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
