Language Systems International is a private ESL (English as a Second Language) school with three locations in California: Los Angeles, Orange County, and South Bay.

Language Systems - Downtown LA is seeking an Assistant Program Coordinator for the evening shift, Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 10:05 PM.

The following minimum requirements for this position include:

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Education related to teaching languages (e.g. TESOL certificate, linguistic classes, or language teaching-related classes)
  • Experience teaching ESL or a foreign language to group classes in a supervised setting

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Substitute teaching for the evening instructors when needed
  • Managing the schedules and finding subsitute teachers for the evening instructors
  • Assisting the Program Director in evaluating the instructor's performance and classes
  • Advising evening students in academic and attendance matters

All classes are in person. There are benefits for full and part-time teachers based on performance and length of time at the school. These include annual raises and up to two weeks of paid vacation at the end of the year. Paid new teacher training, continuing professional development, and on-site program coordinator support are provided.
