Description


The Department of Criminology, Justice Studies, and Global Security seeks a full-time assistant professor to serve as Director of the Cybersecurity program. The program is a partnership among the Department of Computer Sciences, the Department of Information Technology, and the Department of Criminology, Justice Studies, and Global Security. The candidate selected must have the ability to work in collaboration with all partners and teach courses in the program.


Qualifications


The successful candidate will have:
(1) An earned doctorate in Cybersecurity or, a closely related discipline (ABD may be considered),
(2) Demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching, and service to the university and profession,
(3) Applied experience in cybersecurity or a closely related field,
(4) Ability to work in collaboration with other university departments,
(5) Ability to develop, build, and grow the program,
(6) Ability to create connections in the cybersecurity community.


Experience in any or all of the following areas is preferred:


Cybersecurity Management
Ethical Hacking
Forensics
Applied Cybersecurity
Incident Response
Industry recognized certifications

Salary for the position is $53,660 with excellent benefits
